Group Task 5 - Secondary Research of our Project Subject

Introduction

Based on our task in Capstone project we will present some information about our product, some key points of subject and some interesting articles.

Key points
  • Technical research
    • Functionalization of base product
    • Surface, funtionalization, optimum grain size, optimum pH, conductivity
    • CE-Mark
    • Methods for Chemical analysis
  • Marketing
    • Market research in Finland (Southwest)
    • Market research in Germany, Lithuania
  • Chemical analysis
    • Define base-product nutrients
    • Adsorb nutrients (N & P) and metals (Cu, Ni, Fe)
Explanation

Using a ash aggregate as a adsorbent to clean wastewater.

1. Circular economy - The product is a renewable based on industrial ash.
2. The product has low density and high porosity.
3. Use it as a adsorbent for nutrients (N & P) and metals (Cu, Ni, Fe).

Potential customers

The product is needed in the industry that uses raw water and/or treats wastewater. For example; mining industry, paper mill, pulp mill, oil refinery and chemical industry. Additionally you can use product to prevent river waters from the contamination of fertilizers.
