Visiting Smart Chemistry Park

Our group had a wonderful opportunity to visit Smart Chemistry Park in Raisio. We were 5.12.there and learned so much. Linda Fröberg-Niemi told us about Smart Chemistry Park and we also learn more about Renotech. 

 Smart Chemistry Park supports research and innovations to create new businesses to Turku region. Focus is in companies who`s technology is based in chemistry and in bio- and circular economy. Smart Chemistry Park´s idea is to help small and medium size businesses to scale their products into industrial scale. 
One of the companies in Smart Chemistry Park is Renotech and we got the chance to visit their laboratory and office spaces. The laboratories are for all companies who are working in SCP, this is the way to use equipment effectively. There are also pilot spaces. 

 Different companies are working closely with each other so information sharing happens easily from company to another. Research subjects are near each other and many of SCP companies are also customers for each other. 

 Smart Chemistry Park can unite companies with its large network and collaborate with University of Applied Sciences, Åbo Akademi, University of Turku and Oulu, who are doing research.
