Maiju Aho

Project manager

Hey! My name is Maiju Aho and I am 22-year-old chemical engineering student. I am interested chemistry, circular economy and cleantech -solutions. Expectations for the Innovation project are high, I hope that I will learn about project management, laboratory work and team working with different kind of people. Project is a good place to train and improve my weaknesses like English, stress tolerance and courage to talk and take a presentation. From area of study I have be working in the tall oil refinery.

Jaakko Ketola

Hey, I’m 27 year old southern ostrobothnian who moved to Turku in 2011 to study biotechnology in Turku University of Appliens Sciences. Since then I have switched over to chemical engineering. I have most often spent the summers working at a sawmill in assorting, packaging and as a firewatch during summer maintenance and overhaul. I’m an active member in Elba ry, student association for students of bio, foodstuffs, laboratory, chemical and materials engineering. In my free time I mostly read, practice cooking and baking, manufacture liqueurs and (rarely) ride my motorbike.

Pasi Laaksonen

Age: 26 Hello! My name is Pasi Laaksonen. I study process and material engineering in the fourth year. I expect from Capstone new challenges and possibly hints to the working life of the future. My strengths are information retrieval and listening skills. On the other hand, my weaknesses are improvisation, English and other foreign languages. I also hate working under pressure. My previous work experience regarding to this project are few projects.

Eemeli Miettinen

Greetings and salutations. My name is Eemeli, I am a 22-year-old currently on my fourth-year studying chemical and material engineering. Said studies focus on environmental and food engineering. I have previously worked on various projects related to water purification and analysis, namely the analysis of phosphorus. I have also been employed as an environmental health officer trainee, which further improved my knowledge on laws and practices regarding food and environmental safety.

Minna Nurminen

Hey! My name is Minna Nurminen and I am 35 years old. I started off my career as a Hair Stylist sixteen years ago in my own company. For that why I have experience of the intensive working life and even under pressure I can maintain high standards. I have Further qualification in Sales and now I’m studying Chemical and Material Engineering. I have been working actively in school projects, for example in the Laboratory LEAN -project, which was a success in many ways. Last summer I worked as a Laboratory technician at Neste Naantali refinery . I want to develope my English language and vocational skills purposefully and widely. The circular economy and the welfare of the nature are close to my heart. I spend a lot of time in the forest trail running and walking with my dogs. I hope, that this project will give me the courage to work in English and more tools for working in R&D.

Marja Puljujärvi

My name is Marja Puljujärvi. I’m 23 years old chemical engineering student from Turku, Finland. I graduated 2014 from vocational school business, administration. After then I have worked in customer service. This have helped me to developed myself better worker. I’m kind and motivating to the other team workers and I like work with team. Sometimes my kindness is my weakness also, because I accept easily the other’s opinions. In University of applied sciences, I have learned some work in the laboratory. I hope that the project will include laboratory work, that I can develop myself better in the lab. During the project, I would also like to develop my English skills and particularly to get the courage to use it.

Henri Tamminen

Hi! My name is Henri Tamminen and I am 24-years-old chemical-engineering student who is interested in sports. I would like to improve my English language skills and to work as a group in a company. My weakness is working under a lot of pressure and my strengths are information gathering and teamwork. I have also worked in projects that relates with water purification and analysis.

Anni Virtanen

Hi! My name is Anni and I'm 26 years old. I am a third year student of process and material technology engineering. In leisure time my interests include jogging, music, movies and books. I am a laboratorian by education and have analysed nature waters and waste waters earlier in my working career. Therefore it would be nice to do something else and be part of this project. I have little experience about talking to bigger crowds in English which can be seen in my pronunciation and grammatical skills. I eagerly wait for the project to begin, even though 400 hours of now feels as large amount of work.

Laura Vuori

Hey! My name is Laura Vuori and I'm 25 years old 4th year student. I study chemical engineering at Lemminkäisenkatu campus. My strenghts in the project are in information retrieval and innovation. My weakness is staying on schedule and participating meetings before christmas. In the project I want to develope my english skills, time management and working with the company and my team.

Hey my name is Jonas Dibbern, I'm a exchange student from Germany and I will stay here until 20. of December. I'm 24 years old, studying process engineering. In this project I want to learn how to work with a group on a company project. To get experience into the steps of innovating.

Andrius Grigorjevas

Hello, my name is Andrius Grigorjevas. I'm 26 years old. I am exchange student from Lithuania and I will stay here until 20-21st of December. In Lithuania I'm studying chemical analyses. It first my project like this so I want to learn how to work with a group on a company project, to improve my English language, to get more courage talking to audience and also from this project I would like know what companies are expecting from us.

Hello everyone I am Ervina Varnaite, I'm a exchange student from Lithuania and I will stay here until 21st of December. I'm 20 years old, studying chemical analysis in Lithuania.
